Sweet Sticky Pork Belly

  • 2 pack Copperwood Salted Pork belly
  • 3 tbsp shredded ginger
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp mushroom soy sauce
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)


  • Preheat oven to 300F
  • Cut the salted pork belly into smaller bite sized cubes
  • Boil for 15 to 20 minutes to rid of excess salt
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded ginger, tomato paste, sesame oil, soy sauce and honey
  • Strain the salted pork belly and toss in the sauce; sprinkle top with brown sugar
  • Cover with foil and place in the oven until for tender (between 45 – 60 minutes)
  • Once the pork is fork-tender, turn the oven to the broil setting at 500 F and roast until dark charred and sticky
